Vocabulary Homework Selection

Pick 4 activities to complete during the week, as a word review. Each activity must be turned in by Friday morning (or test day).

1. Create a web for each vocabulary word. The vocabulary word goes in the middle of the web. You must write 6-8 words around the web that relate to the vocabulary term.

2.  Write a short story using at least 6 of your vocabulary words and 6 spelling words. Highlight/underline each vocabulary word and circle each spelling word.

3.  Write 3 synonyms and 3 antonyms for each vocabulary word. Students may use a thesaurus or the internet www.thesaurus.com .

4.  Come up with 10 words or concepts that go long with each of your vocabulary words. Be able to tell me why the word/concept is connected, if asked.

​

5.  Create a sentence using each vocabulary term and draw an illustration that represent the sentence.

​

6. Describe each vocabulary term, using four clues that can help a partner guess the mystery vocabulary word.
